What is the Hoe Neighbourhood Forum?
The Localism Act 2011 gave communities in the UK more power over future planning issues in their area. The Hoe Neighbourhood Forum (“the Forum”) was formed by local residents in 2017 to enable our community to have a greater say in planning decisions that affect us. In July 2017 the Forum attained formal recognition from Plymouth City Council and became a statutory consultee for proposed planning schemes in our area. The boundaries of the Hoe Neighbourhood Area are shown in the map below.
Since then, a lot of work has been done to engage with local residents, local businesses, and Plymouth City Council and to draft a neighbourhood plan based on our shared vision for the future.
People who live, work, or run businesses within the area are welcome to join the Hoe Neighbourhood Forum. At our monthly meetings, the Forum discusses progress on the neighbourhood plan, planning applications that may affect the Hoe area, and general issues of concern in our neighbourhood.
